A good cordless pool robot is built to take abuse — UV, salt, grit and constant immersion. But like any hard-working appliance, it rewards a little routine care with years of full-strength performance. None of it is time-consuming; it's mostly about three or four small habits.

Rinse the filter basket after every cycle

This is the single biggest factor in how well your cleaner performs over time. When debris is left to dry inside the basket, it hardens and restricts water flow, which makes the motor work harder and cuts suction. Store it in the shade and keep moving parts clear
